55 Wa iz qultum

وَاِذْ قُلْتُمْ يٰمُوْسٰى لَنْ نُّؤْمِنَ لَكَ حَتّٰى نَرَى اللّٰهَ جَهْرَةً فَاَخَذَتْكُمُ الصّٰعِقَةُ وَاَنْتُمْ تَنْظُرُوْنَ

وَإِذْ : And when  
  قُلْتُمْ : you said,  
  يَٰمُوسَىٰ : "O Musa!  
  لَن : Never  
  نُّؤْمِنَ : (will) we believe  
  لَكَ : in you  
  حَتَّىٰ : until  
  نَرَى : we see  
  ٱللَّهَ : Allah  
  جَهْرَةً : manifestly."  
  فَأَخَذَتْكُمُ : So seized you  
  ٱلصَّٰعِقَةُ : the thunderbolt  
  وَأَنتُمْ : while you  
  تَنظُرُونَ : (were) looking.

Wa iz qultum yaa Moosaa lan nu'mina laka hattaa naral laaha jahratan fa akhazat kumus saa'iqatu wa antum tanzuroon

And [recall] when you said, "O Moses, we will never believe you until we see Allah outright"; so the thunderbolt took you while you were looking on.
