وَاِذْ اَخَذْنَا مِيْثَاقَكُمْ لَا تَسْفِكُوْنَ دِمَاۗءَكُمْ وَلَا تُخْرِجُوْنَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ مِّنْ دِيَارِكُمْ ثُمَّ اَقْــرَرْتُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ تَشْهَدُوْنَ
وَإِذْ : And when
أَخَذْنَا : We took
مِيثَٰقَكُمْ : your covenant,
لَا : "Not
تَسْفِكُونَ : will you shed
دِمَآءَكُمْ : your blood
وَلَا : and not
تُخْرِجُونَ : (will) evict
أَنفُسَكُم : yourselves
مِّن : from
دِيَٰرِكُمْ : your homes,"
ثُمَّ : then
أَقْرَرْتُمْ : you ratified
وَأَنتُمْ : while you
تَشْهَدُونَ : (were) witnessing.
أَخَذْنَا : We took
مِيثَٰقَكُمْ : your covenant,
لَا : "Not
تَسْفِكُونَ : will you shed
دِمَآءَكُمْ : your blood
وَلَا : and not
تُخْرِجُونَ : (will) evict
أَنفُسَكُم : yourselves
مِّن : from
دِيَٰرِكُمْ : your homes,"
ثُمَّ : then
أَقْرَرْتُمْ : you ratified
وَأَنتُمْ : while you
تَشْهَدُونَ : (were) witnessing.
Wa iz akhaznaa meesaa qakum laa tasfikoona dimaaa'akum wa laa tukhrijoona anfusakum min diyaarikum summa aqrartum wa antum tashhadoon
And [recall] when We took your covenant, [saying], "Do not shed each other's blood or evict one another from your homes." Then you acknowledged [this] while you were witnessing.
