يَسْــَٔـلُوْنَكَ عَنِ الْاَهِلَّةِ ۭ قُلْ ھِىَ مَوَاقِيْتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَالْحَجِّ ۭ وَلَيْسَ الْبِرُّ بِاَنْ تَاْتُوا الْبُيُوْتَ مِنْ ظُهُوْرِھَا وَلٰكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنِ اتَّقٰى ۚ وَاْتُوا الْبُيُوْتَ مِنْ اَبْوَابِهَا ۠ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُفْلِحُوْنَ
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ : They ask you
عَنِ : about
ٱلْأَهِلَّةِۖ : the new moons.
قُلْ : Say,
هِىَ : "They
مَوَٰقِيتُ : (are) indicators of periods
لِلنَّاسِ : for the people,
وَٱلْحَجِّۗ : and (for) the Hajj
وَلَيْسَ : And it is not
ٱلْبِرُّ : the righteousness
بِأَن : that
تَأْتُوا۟ : you come
ٱلْبُيُوتَ : (to) the houses
مِن : from
ظُهُورِهَا : their backs,
وَلَٰكِنَّ : and but
ٱلْبِرَّ : the righteous
مَنِ : (is one) who
ٱتَّقَىٰۗ : fears (Allah).
وَأْتُوا۟ : And come
ٱلْبُيُوتَ : (to) the houses
مِنْ : from
أَبْوَٰبِهَاۚ : their doors.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ : And fear
ٱللَّهَ : Allah
لَعَلَّكُمْ : so that you may
تُفْلِحُونَ : (be) successful.
عَنِ : about
ٱلْأَهِلَّةِۖ : the new moons.
قُلْ : Say,
هِىَ : "They
مَوَٰقِيتُ : (are) indicators of periods

أَبْوَٰبِهَاۚ : their doors.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ : And fear
ٱللَّهَ : Allah
لَعَلَّكُمْ : so that you may
تُفْلِحُونَ : (be) successful.
Yas'aloonaka 'anil ahillati qul hiya mawaaqeetu linnaasi wal Hajj; wa laisal birru bi an taatul buyoota min zuhoorihaa wa laakinnal birra manit taqaa; waatul buyoota min abwaa bihaa; wattaqullaaha la'allakum tuflihoon
They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the new moons. Say, "They are measurements of time for the people and for Hajj." And it is not righteousness to enter houses from the back, but righteousness is [in] one who fears Allah. And enter houses from their doors. And fear Allah that you may succeed.
