وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ الَّذِيْنَ اعْتَدَوْا مِنْكُمْ فِى السَّبْتِ فَقُلْنَا لَھُمْ كُوْنُوْا قِرَدَةً خٰسِـــِٕيْنَ
وَلَقَدْ : And indeed,
عَلِمْتُمُ : you knew
ٱلَّذِينَ : those who
ٱعْتَدَوْا۟ : transgressed
مِنكُمْ : among you
فِى : in
ٱلسَّبْتِ : the (matter of) Sabbath.
فَقُلْنَا : So We said
لَهُمْ : to them,
كُونُوا۟ : "Be
قِرَدَةً : apes,
خَٰسِـِٔينَ : despised."
عَلِمْتُمُ : you knew
ٱلَّذِينَ : those who
ٱعْتَدَوْا۟ : transgressed
مِنكُمْ : among you
فِى : in
ٱلسَّبْتِ : the (matter of) Sabbath.
فَقُلْنَا : So We said
لَهُمْ : to them,
كُونُوا۟ : "Be
قِرَدَةً : apes,
خَٰسِـِٔينَ : despised."
Wa laqad 'alimtumul lazeena'-tadaw minkum fis Sabti faqulnaa lahum koonoo qiradatan khaasi'een
And you had already known about those who transgressed among you concerning the sabbath, and We said to them, "Be apes, despised."
