فَجَــعَلْنٰھَا نَكَالًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهَا وَمَا خَلْفَهَا وَمَوْعِظَةً لِّلْمُتَّقِيْنَ
فَجَعَلْنَٰهَا : So We made it
نَكَٰلًا : a deterrent punishment
لِّمَا : for those
بَيْنَ : (in) front
يَدَيْهَا : (of) them
وَمَا : and those
خَلْفَهَا : after them
وَمَوْعِظَةً : and an admonition
لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ : for those who fear (Allah).
نَكَٰلًا : a deterrent punishment
لِّمَا : for those
بَيْنَ : (in) front
يَدَيْهَا : (of) them
وَمَا : and those
خَلْفَهَا : after them
وَمَوْعِظَةً : and an admonition
لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ : for those who fear (Allah).
Faja'alnaahaa nakaalal limaa baina yadihaa wa maa khalfahaa wa maw'izatal lilmuttaqeen
And We made it a deterrent punishment for those who were present and those who succeeded [them] and a lesson for those who fear Allah.
