قَالُوا ادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُبَيِّنْ لَّنَا مَا هِىَ ۭ قَالَ اِنَّهٗ يَقُوْلُ اِنَّهَا بَقَرَةٌ لَّا فَارِضٌ وَّلَا بِكْرٌ ۭ عَوَانٌۢ بَيْنَ ذٰلِكَ ۭ فَافْعَلُوْا مَا تُـؤْمَرُوْنَ
قَالُوا۟ : They said,
ٱدْعُ : "Pray
لَنَا : for us
رَبَّكَ : (to) your Lord
يُبَيِّن : to make clear
لَّنَا : for us
مَا : what
هِىَۚ : it (is)."
قَالَ : He said,
إِنَّهُۥ : "Indeed, He,
يَقُولُ : says,
إِنَّهَا : "Indeed it
بَقَرَةٌ : (is) a cow
لَّا : not
فَارِضٌ : old
وَلَا : and not
بِكْرٌ : young,
عَوَانٌۢ : middle aged
بَيْنَ : between
ذَٰلِكَۖ : that,"
فَٱفْعَلُوا۟ : so do
مَا : what
تُؤْمَرُونَ : you are commanded."
ٱدْعُ : "Pray

قَالَ : He said,
إِنَّهُۥ : "Indeed, He,
يَقُولُ : says,
إِنَّهَا : "Indeed it
بَقَرَةٌ : (is) a cow

وَلَا : and not
بِكْرٌ : young,
عَوَانٌۢ : middle aged
بَيْنَ : between
ذَٰلِكَۖ : that,"
فَٱفْعَلُوا۟ : so do
مَا : what
تُؤْمَرُونَ : you are commanded."
Qaalud-'u lanaa yubaiyil lanaa maa hee; qaala innahoo yaqoolu innahaa baqaratul laa faaridunw wa laa bikrun 'awaanum baina zaalika faf'aloo maa tu'maroon
They said, "Call upon your Lord to make clear to us what it is." [Moses] said, "[Allah] says, 'It is a cow which is neither old nor virgin, but median between that,' so do what you are commanded."
