74 Summa qasat quloobukum

ثُمَّ قَسَتْ قُلُوْبُكُمْ مِّنْۢ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَ فَهِىَ كَالْحِجَارَةِ اَوْ اَشَدُّ قَسْوَةً ۭ وَاِنَّ مِنَ الْحِجَارَةِ لَمَا يَتَفَجَّرُ مِنْهُ الْاَنْهٰرُ ۭ وَاِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَشَّقَّقُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنْهُ الْمَاۗءُ ۭ وَاِنَّ مِنْهَا لَمَا يَهْبِطُ مِنْ خَشْـيَةِ اللّٰهِ ۭ وَمَا اللّٰهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُوْنَ 

ثُمَّ : Then  
  قَسَتْ : hardened  
  قُلُوبُكُم : your hearts  
  مِّنۢ : from  
  بَعْدِ : after  
  ذَٰلِكَ : that  
  فَهِىَ : so they  
  كَٱلْحِجَارَةِ : (became) like the stones  
  أَوْ : or  
  أَشَدُّ : stronger  
  قَسْوَةًۚ : (in) hardness.  
  وَإِنَّ : And indeed,  
  مِنَ : from  
  ٱلْحِجَارَةِ : the stones  
  لَمَا : certainly (there are some) which  
  يَتَفَجَّرُ : gush forth  
  مِنْهُ : from it  
  ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُۚ : the rivers,  
  وَإِنَّ : And indeed,  
  مِنْهَا : from them  
  لَمَا : certainly (there are some) which  
  يَشَّقَّقُ : split,  
  فَيَخْرُجُ : so comes out  
  مِنْهُ : from it  
  ٱلْمَآءُۚ : the water,  
  وَإِنَّ : And indeed,  
  مِنْهَا : from them  
  لَمَا : certainly (there are some) which  
  يَهْبِطُ : fall down  
  مِنْ : from  
  خَشْيَةِ : fear  
  ٱللَّهِۗ : (of) Allah.  
  وَمَا : And not  
  ٱللَّهُ : (is) Allah  
  بِغَٰفِلٍ : unaware  
  عَمَّا : of what  
  تَعْمَلُونَ : you do.

Summa qasat quloobukum mim ba'di zaalika fahiya kalhijaarati aw-ashaadu qaswah; wa inna minal hijaarati lamaa yatafajjaru minhul anhaar; wa inna minhaa lamaa yash shaqqaqu fayakhruju minhul maaa'; wa inna minhaa lamaa yahbitu min khashyatil laa; wa mal laahu bighaafilin 'ammaa ta'maloon 

Then your hearts became hardened after that, being like stones or even harder. For indeed, there are stones from which rivers burst forth, and there are some of them that split open and water comes out, and there are some of them that fall down for fear of Allah. And Allah is not unaware of what you do.

Interpretation
