76 Wa izaa laqul lazeena

وَاِذَا لَقُوا الَّذِيْنَ اٰمَنُوْا قَالُوْٓا اٰمَنَّا ښ وَاِذَا خَلَا بَعْضُھُمْ اِلٰى بَعْضٍ قَالُوْٓا اَتُحَدِّثُوْنَھُمْ بِمَا فَتَحَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْكُمْ لِيُحَاۗجُّوْكُمْ بِهٖ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْ ۭ اَفَلَاتَعْقِلُوْنَ
وَإِذَا : And when
  لَقُوا۟ : they meet
  ٱلَّذِينَ : those who
  ءَامَنُوا۟ : believed,
  قَالُوٓا۟ : they say,
  ءَامَنَّا : "We have believed."
  وَإِذَا : And when
  خَلَا : meet in private
  بَعْضُهُمْ : some of them
  إِلَىٰ : with
  بَعْضٍ : some (others),
  قَالُوٓا۟ : they say,
أَتُحَدِّثُونَهُم : "Do you tell them
  بِمَا : what
  فَتَحَ : has
  ٱللَّهُ : Allah
  عَلَيْكُمْ : to you
لِيُحَآجُّوكُم : so that they argue with you
  بِهِۦ : therewith
  عِندَ : before
  رَبِّكُمْۚ : your Lord?
أَفَلَا : Then do (you) not
  تَعْقِلُونَ : understand?"
Wa izaa laqul lazeena aamanoo qaalooo aamannaa wa izaakhalaa ba'duhum ilaa ba'din qaalooo atuhaddisoonahum bimaa fatahal laahu 'alaikum liyuhaajjookum bihee 'inda rabbikum; afalaa ta'qiloon
And when they meet those who believe, they say, "We have believed"; but when they are alone with one another, they say, "Do you talk to them about what Allah has revealed to you so they can argue with you about it before your Lord?" Then will you not reason?
