80 Wa qaaloo lan

وَقَالُوْا لَنْ تَمَسَّنَا النَّارُ اِلَّآ اَيَّامًا مَّعْدُوْدَةً ۭ قُلْ اَتَّخَذْتُمْ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ عَهْدًا فَلَنْ يُّخْلِفَ اللّٰهُ عَهْدَهٗٓ اَمْ تَقُوْلُوْنَ عَلَي اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ 
وَقَالُوا۟ : And they say,  

  لَن : "Never  
  تَمَسَّنَا : will touch us  
  ٱلنَّارُ : the Fire  
  إِلَّآ : except  
  أَيَّامًا : (for) days  
  مَّعْدُودَةًۚ : numbered."  
  قُلْ : Say,  
  أَتَّخَذْتُمْ : "Have you taken  
  عِندَ : from  
  ٱللَّهِ : Allah  
  عَهْدًا : a covenant,  
  فَلَن : so never  
  يُخْلِفَ : will break  
  ٱللَّهُ : Allah  
  عَهْدَهُۥٓۖ : His Covenant?  
  أَمْ : Or  
  تَقُولُونَ : (do) you say  
  عَلَى : against  
  ٱللَّهِ : Allah  
  مَا : what  
  لَا : not  
  تَعْلَمُونَ : you know?"

Wa qaaloo lan tamassanan Naaru illaaa ayyaamam ma'doo dah; qul attakhaztum 'indal laahi 'ahdan falai yukhlifal laahu 'ahdahooo am taqooloona 'alal laahi maa laa ta'lamoon

And they say, "Never will the Fire touch us, except for a few days." Say, "Have you taken a covenant with Allah? For Allah will never break His covenant. Or do you say about Allah that which you do not know?"
