وَاِذْ جَعَلْنَا الْبَيْتَ مَثَابَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَاَمْنًا ۭ وَاتَّخِذُوْا مِنْ مَّقَامِ اِبْرٰهٖمَ مُصَلًّى ۭ وَعَهِدْنَآ اِلٰٓى اِبْرٰهٖمَ وَاِسْمٰعِيْلَ اَنْ طَهِّرَا بَيْتِىَ لِلطَّاۗىِٕفِيْنَ وَالْعٰكِفِيْنَ وَالرُّكَّعِ السُّجُوْدِ
وَإِذْ : And when
جَعَلْنَا : We made
ٱلْبَيْتَ : the House
مَثَابَةً : a place of return
لِّلنَّاسِ : for mankind
وَأَمْنًا : and (a place of) security
وَٱتَّخِذُوا۟ : and (said), "Take
مِن : from
مَّقَامِ : (the) standing place
إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ : (of) Ibrahim,
مُصَلًّىۖ : (as) a place of prayer."
وَعَهِدْنَآ : And We made a covenant
إِلَىٰٓ : with
إِبْرَٰهِۦمَ : (of) Ibrahim
وَإِسْمَٰعِيلَ : and Ishmael
أَن : that,
طَهِّرَا : "You both purify
بَيْتِىَ : My House
لِلطَّآئِفِينَ : for those who circumambulate
وَٱلْعَٰكِفِينَ : and those who seclude themselves for devotion and prayer
وَٱلرُّكَّعِ : and those who bow down
ٱلسُّجُودِ : and those who prostrate
جَعَلْنَا : We made
ٱلْبَيْتَ : the House
مَثَابَةً : a place of return
لِّلنَّاسِ : for mankind
وَأَمْنًا : and (a place of) security
وَٱتَّخِذُوا۟ : and (said), "Take

Wa iz ja'alnal Baita masaabatal linnassi wa amnanw wattakhizoo mim Maqaami Ibraaheema musallaaa; wa 'ahidnaaa ilaaa Ibraaheema wa Ismaa'eela an tahhiraa Baitiya littaaa'ifeena wal'aakifeena warrukka'is sujood
And [mention] when We made the House a place of return for the people and [a place of] security. And take, [O believers], from the standing place of Abraham a place of prayer. And We charged Abraham and Ishmael, [saying], "Purify My House for those who perform Tawaf and those who are staying [there] for worship and those who bow and prostrate [in prayer]."
