91 Wa izaa qeela lahum aaminoo

وَاِذَا قِيْلَ لَھُمْ اٰمِنُوْا بِمَآ اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوْا نُؤْمِنُ بِمَآ اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُوْنَ بِمَا وَرَاۗءَهٗ ۤ وَھُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا مَعَھُمْ ۭ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُوْنَ اَنْۢبِيَاۗءَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُّؤْمِنِيْنَ 

وَإِذَا : And when  

  قِيلَ : it is said  
  لَهُمْ : to them,  
  ءَامِنُوا۟ : "Believe  
  بِمَآ : in what  
  أَنزَلَ : has revealed  
  ٱللَّهُ : Allah,"  
  قَالُوا۟ : they say,  
  نُؤْمِنُ : "We believe  
  بِمَآ : in what  
  أُنزِلَ : was revealed  
  عَلَيْنَا : to us."  
  وَيَكْفُرُونَ : And they disbelieve  
  بِمَا : in what  
  وَرَآءَهُۥ : (is) besides it,  
  وَهُوَ : while it  
  ٱلْحَقُّ : (is) the truth  
  مُصَدِّقًا : confirming  
  لِّمَا : what  
  مَعَهُمْۗ : (is) with them.  
  قُلْ : Say,  
  فَلِمَ : "Then why  
  تَقْتُلُونَ : (did) you kill  
  أَنۢبِيَآءَ : (the) Prophets  
  ٱللَّهِ : (of) Allah  
  مِن : from  
  قَبْلُ : before,  
  إِن : if  
  كُنتُم : you were  
  مُّؤْمِنِينَ : believers?"

Wa izaa qeela lahum aaminoo bimaaa anzalal laahu qaaloo nu'minu bimaaa unzila 'alainaa wa yakfuroona bimaa waraaa'ahoo wa huwal haqqu musaddiqal limaa ma'ahum; qul falima taqtuloona Ambiyaaa'al laahi min qablu in kuntum mu'mineen

And when it is said to them, "Believe in what Allah has revealed," they say, "We believe [only] in what was revealed to us." And they disbelieve in what came after it, while it is the truth confirming that which is with them. Say, "Then why did you kill the prophets of Allah before, if you are [indeed] believers?"
