154 Wa laa taqooloo

وَلَا تَـقُوْلُوْا لِمَنْ يُّقْتَلُ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ اَمْوَاتٌ ۭ بَلْ اَحْيَاۗءٌ وَّلٰكِنْ لَّا تَشْعُرُوْنَ

وَلَا : And (do) not  
  تَقُولُوا۟ : say  
  لِمَن : for (the ones) who  
  يُقْتَلُ : are slain  
  فِى : in  
  سَبِيلِ : (the) way  
  ٱللَّهِ : (of) Allah  
  أَمْوَٰتٌۢۚ : "(They are) dead  
  بَلْ : Nay,  
  أَحْيَآءٌ : (they are) alive  
  وَلَٰكِن : and but  
  لَّا : you (do) not  
  تَشْعُرُونَ : perceive.

Wa laa taqooloo limai yuqtalu fee sabeelil laahi amwaat; bal ahyaaa'unw wa laakil laa tash'uroon

And do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah, "They are dead." Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.
