وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيٰوةٌ يّـٰٓــاُولِي الْاَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُوْنَ
وَلَكُمْ : And for you
وَلَكُمْ : And for you
فِى : in
ٱلْقِصَاصِ : the legal retribution
حَيَوٰةٌ : (is) life,
يَٰٓأُو۟لِى : O men
ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ : (of) understanding!
لَعَلَّكُمْ : So that you may
تَتَّقُونَ : (become) righteous.

يَٰٓأُو۟لِى : O men
ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ : (of) understanding!
لَعَلَّكُمْ : So that you may
تَتَّقُونَ : (become) righteous.
Wa lakum fil qisaasi hayaatuny yaaa ulil albaabi la 'allakum tattaqoon
And there is for you in legal retribution [saving of] life, O you [people] of understanding, that you may become righteous.
