اُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ الصِّيَامِ الرَّفَثُ اِلٰى نِسَاۗىِٕكُمْ ۭ ھُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ ۭعَلِمَ اللّٰهُ اَنَّكُمْ كُنْتُمْ تَخْتَانُوْنَ اَنْفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنْكُمْ ۚ فَالْئٰنَ بَاشِرُوْھُنَّ وَابْتَغُوْا مَا كَتَبَ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ ۠وَكُلُوْا وَاشْرَبُوْا حَتّٰى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ الْخَيْطُ الْاَبْيَضُ مِنَ الْخَيْطِ الْاَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْفَجْرِ ۠ ثُمَّ اَتِمُّوا الصِّيَامَ اِلَى الَّيْلِ ۚ وَلَا تُـبَاشِرُوْھُنَّ وَاَنْتُمْ عٰكِفُوْنَ ۙ فِي الْمَسٰجِدِ ۭ تِلْكَ حُدُوْدُ اللّٰهِ فَلَا تَقْرَبُوْھَا ۭ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ اٰيٰتِهٖ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُوْنَ
أُحِلَّ : Permitted
لَكُمْ : for you
لَيْلَةَ : (in the) nights
ٱلصِّيَامِ : (of) fasting
ٱلرَّفَثُ : (is) the approach
إِلَىٰ : to
نِسَآئِكُمْۚ : your wives.
هُنَّ : They
لِبَاسٌ : (are) garments
لَّكُمْ : for you
وَأَنتُمْ : and you
لِبَاسٌ : (are) garments
لَّهُنَّۗ : for them.
عَلِمَ : Knows
ٱللَّهُ : Allah
أَنَّكُمْ : that you
كُنتُمْ : used to
تَخْتَانُونَ : deceive
أَنفُسَكُمْ : yourselves,
فَتَابَ : so He turned
عَلَيْكُمْ : towards you
وَعَفَا : and He forgave
عَنكُمْۖ : on you.
فَٱلْـَٰٔنَ : So now
بَٰشِرُوهُنَّ : have relations with them
وَٱبْتَغُوا۟ : and seek
مَا : what
كَتَبَ : has ordained
ٱللَّهُ : Allah
لَكُمْۚ : for you.
وَكُلُوا۟ : And eat
وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ : and drink
حَتَّىٰ : until
يَتَبَيَّنَ : becomes distinct
لَكُمُ : to you
ٱلْخَيْطُ : the thread
ٱلْأَبْيَضُ : the white
مِنَ : from
ٱلْخَيْطِ : the thread
ٱلْأَسْوَدِ : the black
مِنَ : from
ٱلْفَجْرِۖ : the dawn.
ثُمَّ : Then
أَتِمُّوا۟ : complete
ٱلصِّيَامَ : the fast
إِلَى : to
ٱلَّيْلِۚ : the night.
وَلَا : And (do) not
تُبَٰشِرُوهُنَّ : have relations with them
وَأَنتُمْ : and you
عَٰكِفُونَ : (are) secluded
فِى : in
ٱلْمَسَٰجِدِۗ : the masajid.
تِلْكَ : These
حُدُودُ : (are the) limits
ٱللَّهِ : (set by) Allah,
فَلَا : so (do) not
تَقْرَبُوهَاۗ : approach them.
كَذَٰلِكَ : Thus
يُبَيِّنُ : makes clear
ٱللَّهُ : Allah
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ : His verses
لِلنَّاسِ : for the people
لَعَلَّهُمْ : so that they may
يَتَّقُونَ : (become) righteous.
لَكُمْ : for you
لَيْلَةَ : (in the) nights
ٱلصِّيَامِ : (of) fasting
ٱلرَّفَثُ : (is) the approach
إِلَىٰ : to
نِسَآئِكُمْۚ : your wives.
هُنَّ : They
لِبَاسٌ : (are) garments

لِبَاسٌ : (are) garments
لَّهُنَّۗ : for them.

ٱللَّهُ : Allah

فَتَابَ : so He turned

ثُمَّ : Then
أَتِمُّوا۟ : complete
ٱلصِّيَامَ : the fast
إِلَى : to
ٱلَّيْلِۚ : the night.
وَلَا : And (do) not
تُبَٰشِرُوهُنَّ : have relations with them
وَأَنتُمْ : and you
عَٰكِفُونَ : (are) secluded
فِى : in
ٱلْمَسَٰجِدِۗ : the masajid.
تِلْكَ : These
حُدُودُ : (are the) limits
ٱللَّهِ : (set by) Allah,
فَلَا : so (do) not
تَقْرَبُوهَاۗ : approach them.
كَذَٰلِكَ : Thus
يُبَيِّنُ : makes clear
ٱللَّهُ : Allah
ءَايَٰتِهِۦ : His verses
لِلنَّاسِ : for the people
لَعَلَّهُمْ : so that they may
يَتَّقُونَ : (become) righteous.
Uhilla lakum laylatas Siyaamir rafasu ilaa nisaaa'ikum; hunna libaasullakum wa antum libaasullahunn; 'alimal laahu annakum kuntum takhtaanoona anfusakum fataaba 'alaikum wa 'afaa 'ankum fal'aana baashiroo hunna wabtaghoo maa katabal laahoo lakum; wa kuloo washraboo hattaa yatabaiyana lakumul khaitul abyadu minal khaitil aswadi minal fajri summa atimmus Siyaama ilal layl; wa laa tubaashiroo hunna wa antum 'aakifoona fil masaajid; tilka hudoodul laahi falaa taqraboohaa; kazaalika yubaiyinul laahu aayaatihee linnaasi la'allahum yattaqoon
It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous.
